Meeting the Needs of Every Individual.

JEVS Human Services is widely recognized for delivering quality services that are based upon and sensitive to the religious, cultural and social traditions inherent in Jewish life.

Founded in 1941, JEVS Human Services began as an organization committed solely to serving Jewish refugees and helping them adjust to life in America. We quickly broadened our scope, looking to serve the greater good, while also serving the Jewish Community. Our decision was rooted in the Jewish principles of Tzedakah (social justice) and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world). These concepts are clear in their mandates and intertwined in the work we do. We believe that by strengthening the fabric of the community at-large, we are, in turn, strengthening the fabric of the Jewish community, and by providing help on an individual basis, we are improving the quality of life for us all.

While our focus is now on serving the greater good, our Jewish community initiatives continue to be critcial to our mission and include:
