JEVS Human Services’ annual Strictly Business event is November 9, 2016. It may be less than 2 weeks away, but there is still time to purchase your tickets!

Themed “Investing in Our Future,” this year’s networking and awards luncheon will honor Burton (Bob) Cohen of Acme Corrugated Box Co., Inc. for his commitment to advancing opportunities for youth in our region. We will also honor the following inspiring young adults who are achieving their dreams, thanks to support from JEVS programs:

Gentil Ndizihiwe, Center for New Americans and Project WOW
Josh Shusterman, Supports Coordination and Philadelphia Independence Network (PIN)
Maurice Young, Orleans Technical College-Human Services Training

Master of Ceremonies Announced
We are pleased to announce the return of Meteorologist Kathy Orr as Master of Ceremonies for Strictly Business 2016! Orr is currently the weather anchor for FOX 29 News at Five and FOX 29 News at Ten. Kathy came to Philadelphia in 1998 as the first female meteorologist in the Philadelphia television market. She has served as Master of Ceremonies for JEVS Strictly Business several times, and we are thrilled to welcome her back.

An inspiring afternoon filled with powerful stories, this is an event you don’t want to miss. Join us on November 9 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel, 201 North 17th Street in Philadelphia. Networking begins at 11 am and the lunch program starts at noon.

Proceeds from Strictly Business fund scholarships to JEVS Human Services’ vocational assessment, job readiness, skills training and career services for individuals in need. As of October 27, 2016, Strictly Business 2016 has raised $219,000!
