Nationwide, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been coined “Giving Tuesday,” a movement started in 2012 to create an international day of charitable giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday shopping season. At JEVS Human Services, we’ve renamed this day to “Doing Tuesday,” and are pulling together a team of volunteers to make a difference.

On December 3, 2019, dozens of dedicated JEVS supporters will package up donations of new adult and children’s socks, gloves, scarves, hats and throws to be distributed to more than 300 needy families served by the organization. Our clients are taking important steps to better lives for themselves and their children, so this is the perfect opportunity to help them on a path to success with goodies to keep them cozy.

If you are interested in donating a winter care item toward this effort, you can contribute in one of the following ways:

  • Shop our Wish List
  • Donate and we’ll shop for you (note “winter care package” in Gift Info field)
  • Drop off at JEVS Human Services, 1845 Walnut Street, 7th Floor in Philadelphia
