Thanks to the generosity of TD and its Ready Challenge, JEVS Human Services is pleased to announce that it received a grant to launch a new college access initiative.  This program, a collaborative effort with Southern New Hampshire University’s College for America (CfA), will provide an accessible, flexible, affordable, and practical opportunity for individuals to attend and succeed in employer-driven degree programs, preparing them for the real demands of the workplace.  JEVS will scale the successful CfA “community model” in Philadelphia, providing on-the-ground student coaching and supports to ensure student retention and graduation.  Services are expected to launch in March 2019.

About the TD Ready Challenge

Acting as a springboard for social innovation, TD established the TD Ready Challenge to identify and support scalable solutions to a specific issue identified within The Ready Commitment. In its inaugural year, the TD Ready Challenge encouraged organizations across North America to create innovative solutions to help increase income stability and give people the skills they need for the economy of the future. In total, TD awarded $10 million (CDN) for the 2018 Challenge.  JEVS was selected from over 200 submissions and shortlist of 15 finalists for this infusion of funding.
