Kethlyn, currently a senior at George Washington High School, is a member of our 21st Century PASS Program, and was recently admitted to Penn State Abington. Even after receiving her acceptance, she didn’t know much about the school, its environment, or what it had to offer. When Kethlyn arrived at our college trip to Penn State Abington on April 26th she didn’t know what to expect, but after speaking with an admissions counselor, walking through the campus, and meeting PASS alumni who currently attend the school, she was glowing with excitement. She said she could imagine herself walking to and from class through the trees and studying in open green spaces on campus. She was relieved to hear how small the class sizes are so she can get more one-on-one support from her professors. She has already found a student organization she’s interested in joining (THON, a dance-based philanthropy event) and wants to explore more options as well. Kethlyn left campus feeling great about her decision to attend Penn State Abington, and even felt confident approaching the admissions counselor in person to ask a question about navigating her new student portal. Way to go, Kethlyn!
