At JEVS Human Services, each November’s National Career Development Month has always been both central to what we do—and a bit of a misnomer, as we strive to assist clients in their personal growth and professional empowerment all year long! That said, if you’re looking to further your present career, find new employment, switch fields, reenter the workforce or network, we have many options available!

Starting December 7, 2018, clients at JEVS Career Strategies will have the opportunity to take part in a new, interactive networking experience: a six-week program called Networking to Get Working. This offering—a coffee and chat session in just one hour each Friday morning—promotes professional networking, learning from guest speakers and will offer new strategies for staying motivated! We sat down with Samara Fritzsche, career advisor with JEVS Career Strategies, to learn more. You can read her tips and why confidence is so key here!

Participants at PA CareerLink® Suburban Station, operated by JEVS, have a wide variety of career management services at their fingertips and, now, also have access to a Professional Networking Group. Read on to learn how diversity is a strength in your job search, and why investing in yourself is something to be celebrated!

Many of our Philly friends and neighbors who are mature job seekers know Judy Cherry at JEVS Career Solutions for 55+. She offers career counseling and placement services, access to workshops and referral services, resume writing and interview preparation and more—plus publishes a pretty great advice column! You can Ask Ms. Judy more here!

Our affiliate agency, JEVS hireAbility, provides supported and customized employment services for adults with disabilities. All ages, skill levels and abilities are welcome! We also provide career exploration, work readiness, job shadowing, coaching and more through a variety of youth programs in various locations.
