Manufacturing Apprenticeships through JEVS Tri-State Apprenticeship Program

  • Are you struggling to attract Machine OperatorsCNC Machinists, Tool & Die Makers, and/or Industrial Maintenance Mechanics?
  • Are you looking to attract diverse employees?
  • Would you prefer to promote from within your company?
  • Have you considered starting or building an apprenticeship program?

If you answered yes to any of the above, we can help! Join JEVS Tri-State Apprenticeship Program (JTAP), powered by National Tooling & Machining Association and Tooling U-SME. Developing and retaining your employees has never been as important as it is today. In partnership with JTAP, your employees will gain skills that enhance their job performance, and maximize your company’s productivity.

What We Do

JEVS Human Services operates the Tri-State Apprenticeship Program (now in its 5th year) to provide regional manufacturers with a turn-key solution for designing and administering a structured apprenticeship program for their employees. In partnership with Tooling U-SME, we also deliver the related technical instruction through online classes that allow apprentices to complete their coursework at their own pace from anywhere.

Benefits to Employers

JEVS Tri-State Apprenticeship Program helps manufacturers to develop a highly skilled workforce through a formal, structured, replicable approach to what you are already doing. Apprentices receive critical career-forming training, which increases job satisfaction and retention.

How It  Works

The JTAP team works with each employer to customize an apprenticeship training package that best meets their needs. Employers select apprentices and their in-house mentors, who work together toward completing stackable credentials using criteria designed by the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS). JTAP manages the program so that you don’t have to use internal resources. A JTAP advisor works with the mentor and apprentice to design a personalized Apprentice Career Plan (ACP) and monitors the apprentice’s progress so that he or she is appropriately supported to successfully complete the program.
