On June 5, 2025, JEVS Human Services hosted its 3rd annual Grow with JEVS at the Crystal Tea Room in the historic Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia. The evening brought together supporters, partners, and members of the community for a night focused on connection, recognition, and impact.
The event offered guests an inviting setting to learn more about JEVS’ mission to create paths to independence and economic security. Attendees enjoyed refreshments while hearing from speakers who shared insights on the important work JEVS is doing across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.
The program was guided by our emcees, Antionette Lee, JEVS Senior Public Relations Manager, and her former colleague, Justin Udo of KYW Newsradio, whose engaging presence set a warm and welcoming tone for the evening.
Celebrating our Sponsors and Supporters
A special thank you goes to our Presenting Sponsor, Citizens. Dan Astolfi, Executive Vice President, Middle Market Regional Executive Mid-Atlantic Region at Citizens, shared a few words about the importance of supporting organizations like JEVS. “As a business leader, I understand the critical role that education, job training, and employment services play in driving economic growth. The fact that JEVS supports more than 19,000 people every year with these services is nothing short of remarkable.”
This broad impact underscores how essential JEVS’ work is to both individuals and the regional economy.
JEVS Human Services is a leader in youth workforce development—serving 8,000 young people with paid work experiences each summer—last year, that put $7.6 million back into our local economy. Citizens is proud to support this work, building on the steadfast leadership of Dan Fitzpatrick, President of Citizens Mid-Atlantic Region. -Dan Astolfi
JEVS also extends its gratitude to Champion Sponsor Acrisure/Odell Studner Group and Ambassador Sponsors Aetna, Laurie and Jeffrey Franz, and Jefferson for their generous support. We are deeply thankful to all of our sponsors whose commitment makes this event, and the work of JEVS, possible.
Guests experienced memorable moments throughout the evening, including a surprise appearance by the Philly Phanatic. This year also marked the launch of our inaugural Ambassador Program, honoring individuals who are helping to raise awareness and support for JEVS’ work. We were pleased to recognize and welcome these ambassadors who reflect the broad range of expertise across departments and roles within JEVS.
Investing in Education, Strengthening Communities
Later in the evening, guests were invited to support JEVS’ mission through a fundraising appeal focused on the Orleans Technical College Scholarship Fund. JEVS CEO and President Cynthia F. Figueroa, emphasized the importance of providing access to training that leads to jobs in the high-demand fields of building trades, healthcare, and IT.
