Programs Employer Services About Support JEVS

The Center for New Americans provides job training and employment coaching to refugees, asylees, and survivors of human trafficking. Our dedicated staff, many of whom have personally experienced the challenges of displacement, work tirelessly to equip and empower participants. Through comprehensive programs, they prepare individuals to enter the workforce, offering a pathway to self-sufficiency and fostering successful integration into society. 


  • Vocational English Language Training (VELT) classes
  • Acculturation workshops to support individuals navigating new cultural environments
  • Case management services
  • Workshops regarding interviewing, résumé writing, workforce foundation skills, and job readiness & retention
  • Computer literacy classes
  • Job placement assistance  


  • Residents of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties with refugee status and within 5 years of date of entry to the United States, even if a Green Card has been received.
  • Residents of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties who are granted asylum status or victim of trafficking status.
  • United States citizens are not eligible.
