JEVS hireAbility Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) is a hireAbility program that helps current students with disabilities prepare for work or post-secondary education.
The program includes a paid integrated, community-based work experience of up to 150 hours at $18.00 per hour.
What skills does Pre-ETS foster?
- Participating in job exploration counseling
- Engaging in work-based learning experiences
- Receiving workplace readiness training
- Developing soft skills
- Building self-advocacy skills
Who is eligible?
- Students aged 14 – 21 in secondary or post-secondary programs
- Have a documented disability (IEP or 504 Plan)
- Are eligible or potentially eligible for DVRS services
- Able to work independently at the internship site
Cost
This program is offered through a partnership with the New Jersey Department of Labor through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS).
There is no cost to those who qualify.
