Volunteer

JEVS’ volunteer program meaningfully engages individuals in the life of our organization and the work that we do to enhance the social capital of our clients. We look for passionate volunteers who can give of their time, talent and/or treasure and match them to opportunities that are in line with their interests and expertise.

Opportunities include:  presenting seminars and workshops to program participants, tutoring for GED preparation, conducting mock interviews for participants in a variety of programs ranging from first-time job seekers to job seekers looking to sharpen their interviewing skills.  We offer group projects such as fixing up our residential homes for individuals with disabilities, serving on employer councils, corporate community partners, women’s initiative group and board membership.

3 Cups of Coffee® offers opportunities for one-on-one mentorship.  This program is a short-term mentoring program that matches job ready individuals with a volunteer mentor.   Together they create a customized plan that identifies career goals and job possibilities while building networking connections. JEVS understands that volunteers provide critical services to those in need and helping to spread the word about JEVS’ mission to make hope happen in our region.
