Our organizational Diversity Speaker Series was launched by the JEVS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council to present on a variety of specialized topics. We invited national, regional, and local speakers–who are subject-matter experts in the DEI field—to provide our staff with a deeper level of understanding of the commitment, openness, willingness to learn, and willingness to change that is necessary as we continue to evolve as an organization within our DEI journey.
The topics that have been covered in our series are:

- The Power of Belonging presented by Dana Beckton
- Maintaining Your DEI Commitment presented by Jameel Rush
- Ensuring Equitable Access presented by Amy Nieves
- LGBTQ Identities and Community Building presented by Galia Godel
At JEVS we are committed to maintaining our diverse and inclusive workplace and ensuring that we are continuing to provide equitable access to growth and development opportunities. There are new speakers who will be participating in our Diversity Speaker Series this upcoming fiscal year, and we are looking forward to continuing to educate our staff on the importance of DEI.
