Project WOW – Building Trades
This Project WOW Building Trades course provides training in Basic Property Maintenance & Repair:
- Building Weatherization: weatherstripping windows and doors
- Carpentry: Framing, drywall, painting, door and window installation, tiling, weatherization
- Plumbing: Installing a toilet, bathtub and sink, welding PVC, sweating copper pipe, installing a garbage disposal
- Electrical: Wiring of receptacles and switches, light fixtures, including ceiling fan and doorbell
- OSHA 10 Certification Available
Work with our Job Coach to begin entry-levels jobs as:
- Carpentry, Electrician or Plumbing Assistants
- Property Maintenance Technicians
- General Contractors
- Painting or Flooring Helpers/Laborers
JEVS Project WOW (World of Work) offers free skills training, job placement assistance, and GED® /high school equivalency test preparation for Philadelphia youth ages 18–24 who did not complete high school. We’re here to help you take the next step toward a promising future!
