Meet Zoya Kravitz, director of the refugee assistance program, an employment program that helps refugees, asylees, and victims of trafficking. She herself was a refugee from the Soviet Union and, therefore, shares the welcoming spirit she felt upon arriving in the United States with individuals fleeing conflict in their home countries. “The refugees bring with them their fears, pain, stress but at the same time, they bring their wonderful cultures, their talents and of course, their dreams.” Zoya and her team diligently help families to navigate the challenges of securing employment, housing, education, as well as learning about a new, safe life here in the Philadelphia region.
In January 2021, Zoya was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the state for her valuable contributions to refugee resettlement services in Pennsylvania.
Meet Souleyman Fall, our director of Employment Services, who demonstrates an unwavering commitment to helping individuals from all walks of life find employment during these challenging times. “I think every client, whether they come with challenges or not, every one of them brings a special skill that’s unique.” Souleyman is dedicated to understanding the needs of our job seekers and matching them to job opportunities where they can prosper.

Meet Erica Bantum, a direct support specialist for JEVS Community Living and Home Supports for 29 years. Despite the difficulties that came with the pandemic, Erica was prepared to multitask and keep up with all the changes here to support her clients. “The pandemic hasn’t been easy, but with determination, consistency, and love, that’s what has been getting us all through here. I love what I do here.” Erica is passionate and dedicated to the work she does and the people she helps.
