Individuals strengthen communities by realizing their highest quality of life through the achievement of personal and vocational potential.
Our Mission & History
JEVS Human Services enhances the employability, independence, and quality of life of individuals through a broad range of programs. Consistent with our core principles and entrepreneurial spirit, JEVS Human Services creates innovative and sustainable solutions to address current and future community needs.
JEVS Human Services began in 1941 when 25 concerned citizens came together to aid Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis during World War II. JEVS helped them re-settle in America and find meaningful work. JEVS Human Services then expanded services to individuals with disabilities. Building from those roots, we’ve extended our reach with services that today span nearly every age group, race, gender, and community. We continue the work started over 80 years ago and address today’s most challenging issues.
